This work presents a study on the internalization process of the Music School of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (EMUFRN) in the Seridó Norte-Rio-Grandense region, through the Technical Course in Musical Instrument (TIM) of the National Program of Access to Technical Education and Employment (PRONATEC), in the city of Florânia / RN. It seeks to research and reflect on the musical training of music students who graduated from this course, through the discipline of Music and Musical Structuring. The research method used was Action Research and the instruments of data collection were, respectively, observation, application of questionnaires and interviews. For theoretical reasons, a bibliographical research was carried out. Some of the authors that base this dissertation are: Oliveira (2013), Carmona (2017), Thiollent (2011), among others. In order to contextualize the research, a brief history of the Philharmonic and the graduated students of PRONATEC of EMUFRN in Florânia / RN was presented. In view of what was observed and analyzed, it was concluded that there are many criticisms of PRONATEC at national level, however, for Seridó, this program means the opportunity for the professional qualifications of Philharmonic Band musicians.
