Continuing Education; Family Health Strategy; Health professionals.
Permanent Health Education is an important ally in the knowledge of the professionals who are part of the Primary Care teams, being a tool of great encouragement to improve the work process of the teams. The objective of the study is to analyze the perception of Primary Care professionals in the municipality of Sousa/PB on Permanent Health Education for the elaboration of an Action Plan. This is a research with a qualitative approach, with a descriptive and participatory nature with the design of action research. The participants were coordinators and professionals of Primary Care in the municipality of Sousa/PB. The data collection procedure followed four steps and the data were analyzed using content analysis according to Bardin. The results indicate that EPS still needs to be understood and strengthened, so that it can be effectively present in the teams' daily lives. This is due to the fact that there was an understanding of concepts and practices involving EPS by the actors involved, still far from what is proposed by the National Policy on Permanent Education. Thus, it is important to emphasize that there is a need for leveraging and articulation strategies that can favor the strengthening of EPS, in all Primary Care teams. The product of the master's degree was an Action Plan to strengthen Permanent Education in the municipality of Souza/PB, as a relevant tool for this purpose, whose execution can follow the fulfillment of the PNPS. It is suggested to promote spaces and meetings between professionals at all levels of care so that they can strengthen this approach for the transformation of professional practices within their territories.
