CONTRIBUTION OF AURICULOTHERAPY IN THE MENTAL HEALTH OF CAREGIVERS OF THE BEST HOME PROGRAM IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ASSÚ/RN

This is a descriptive and exploratory action research that aims to analyze the contribution of auriculotherapy in the mental health of caregivers of bedridden people assisted by the Melhor em Casa Program. The sample will consist of 10 family caregivers in which 6 sessions of auriculotherapy with cow seeds will be applied following the Humanescent Integrative Reception Protocol (PAIH) presented by Sampaio (2016) validated in the study by Bezerra (2019). Data will be collected through a semi-structured interview carried out in the first and last application of auriculotherapy. These data will be analyzed by a qualitative bias through Bardin's content analysis. This study, therefore, will provide subsidies to analyze the effects of auriculotherapy on family caregivers and may serve as a reference for the expansion of its use in other Family Health Strategies and in the Melhor em Casa Program as a complementary means in health actions and care family caregiver protagonist of this study.
