Mental Health. Health Workers. Family Health Strategy.
Mental health is a fundamental aspect of overall well-being and can be significantly influenced by the work environment. In the context of the Family Health Strategy (ESF), where workers deal with emotional and physical demands on a daily basis, they also face health issues that may be related to their way of working and the performance of their activities. This research aims to analyze the mental health of health workers in a Family Health Strategy (ESF) in the interior of the Brazilian Northeast: one. This is intervention research with a qualitative approach, which seeks to understand social and behavioral phenomena from the perspectives of the individuals involved. The research participants will be health workers from the Family Health Strategy, and data will be collected through semi-structured interviews, with a pre-defined script. The interviews will be carried out in person or online via the Google Meet platform, and will be recorded and transcribed. The choice of this methodology is justified by the need to explore the experiences and challenges faced by health workers, who operate in an environment full of emotional and social demands. The research will follow the guidelines and regulatory standards for research involving human beings, as set out in Resolution No. 466/2012 of the National Health Council, and will be submitted to the Research Ethics Committee of the Onofre Lopes University Hospital of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. At the end of the research, we will identify how the illness process occurs and the relationship with the multiple factors that can cause mental illness among Family Health Strategy workers in a city in Paraíba, understanding how the experiences and challenges faced by these professionals affect their well-being, and what strategies can be adopted to promote a healthier and more sustainable environment.
