SUMMARY:

Since the 1970s, Popular Education in Health has served as a powerful framework for shaping and structuring health promotion initiatives within Primary Health Care in Brazil. Among the various models of Popular Education in Health, the “Calçada Amiga”stands out as a successful practice. It has been implemented in projects throughout Northeastern Brazil to promote dialogue and collaborative action with the community, aiming to overcome local challenges in specific territories. Despite its potential, this strategy remains underutilized in health services. OBJECTIVE: To develop and validate an educational booklet on implementing the “Calçada Amiga” strategy within Primary Health Care. METHODOLOGY: This is a methodological study grounded in Pasquali's Psychometrics framework, comprising three stages: (1) theoretical procedures to identify the content of the booklet and establish the evaluation criteria matrix; (2) empirical procedures involving content validation of the booklet by experts in the field; and (3) analytical procedures, in which validation will be analyzed using the Delphi technique to confirm or reject the booklet's suitability for Popular Health Education under the “Calçada Amiga” approach, aiming to expand health promotion and disease prevention in Primary Health Care. EXPECTED RESULTS: It is expected that the proposed booklet will foster the dissemination of the “Calçada Amiga” initiative, contributing to the creation of a space where traditional and scientific knowledge can coexist. The booklet will serve not only as a practical guide but also as a tool to raise awareness of the importance of Popular Health Education and community involvement.
