PUBLIC HEARINGS IN THE STATE LEGISLATURE OF RIO GRANDE DO NORTE: AN ANALYSIS AS A TOOL FOR SOCIAL PARTICIPATION

This work examines the main factors that influence the potential effectiveness of public hearings as a mechanism for social participation and for improving the practices of Public Governance and Open Government in the Legislative Assembly of Rio Grande do Norte (ALRN). The research seeks to understand whether these events contribute to the construction and consolidation of public policies, influence legislative decisions, and play a role in shaping public opinion. To this end, it uses qualitative methods, including document and bibliographic analysis to investigate public data related to the legislative process. The research results may strengthen social participation with potential improvements and contributions to society.
