Environmental and Climate changes are interdisciplinary themes of high complexity, which in recent years has been widely disseminated to society in various media. These environmental climate changes has been validated by the reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, as well as other environmental bodies and the results indicate a worrying future for the climate, environment and humanity. Much of the negatives effects of these changes are caused by human excessive activities in nature. These excesses are made to meet the demands of consumerism contemporary , a social model that is generated by a misinterpretation of natural resources and powered by the rational
scientific current paradigm of development. This paper proposes that reforms in the education system can mitigate the long term, the acceleration of climate changes and the environmental degradation. The basis of this reform are high investments in better quality of education, with a greater focus on the dimension environmental aiming to educate the human being, about importance of the environment to humanity. In this sense, education can increase understanding of the causes and effects, of acceleration of climate changes environmental, through many pedagogical processes and transform human activities harmful in sustainable activities.
