Sewing a Narrator: Experiences of Artistic / Educational Creation in Storytelling

This dissertation aims to map elements that emerge in experiences of artistic creation in storytelling at school, beyond the classroom, and that may be involved in the composition of what we call narrator. Choosing the school space as a performative locus, we talked with the concepts of artist / teacher of Isabel Marques (2011; 2014) and teacher-performer of Naira Ciotti (2014), circumscribing them in basic education. The investigation takes place from the establishment of narrative performances at the College of Application of the Federal University of Pernambuco, sewn to the memories of my personal journey as storyteller and the research of Brazilian storytellers about oral narration in the world contemporary. It is through these weavings that a characterization of the narrative hybrid is emerging, in dialogue with discussions about body and performance, in theorists such as Eleonora Fabião (2008), Paul Zumthor (2014) and Suely Rolnik (2016), as well as the concept of experience in Jorge Larrosa (2014; 2018).
