Andar_ilho Manifesto for a Scenic Making
Performative research ; Walking practice ; Scenic making
This dissertation addresses performative research based on the practice of Andar_ilhar, an artistic manifestation that takes place through walking and proposes to investigate and invoke the wild, the sensitive, and the sense of otherness in relation to the world, through a constant dialogue with other species and forms of existence. From this perception, we seek to understand the relationships that Andar_ilhar awakens as an artistic act/action within a decolonial and counter-colonial perspective. Given its itinerant nature, we search the traces left behind for the necessary ingredients to build a "Scenic Making" (Feitura Cênica) currently in preparation, co-created through a collaborative process. Following the trails of these andar_ilha understandings, we will open paths so that, throughout the creation, experiences with images, sounds, textures, and other scenic narratives can be tasted, alongside reflections that expose art as a space for political manifesto and re-enchantment. The journey of this research will be guided by the artist, her experiences and insights from scenic investigations, and the spontaneous manifestations occurring along the way with the invoked presences that direct the paths of a bio-integrated and "cosmos-felt" (cosmosentida) co-creation.
