SUMMARY:

This research stems from a practical process of creation, development, investigation,
and documentation of theatrical improvisation games aimed at scenic creation. Initiated
in 2024, the study involves a collective of undergraduate students from the Theater
Licentiate Program at UFRN, who are active members of the project. Initially, I sought
to conduct a historical survey of terms and concepts that served as guiding references
for the investigation, aiming to contextualize the topic based on bibliographic sources.
Among the primary theorists referenced are Johnstone (2017), Ryngaert (2009), and
Spolin (2010), along with the artistic influence of the Brazilian comedy group “Cia.
Barbixas de Humor.” Throughout the text, I present analyses, records, and insights
related to the process, describing the practice of the games employed, their rules and
specificities, while emphasizing the importance of the actor as a player on stage.
