THE "PLACE BETWEEN" AND THE ACT OF “PUT POETRY IN THE BODY”: CREATIVE TERRITORIES BETWEEN THEATRE AND DANCE
Place Between, Put poetry in the body, Body, Theater, Dance.
This research aims to investigate the "Place Between", a creative space situated between Theater and Dance. Throughout the study, we seek to reflect on a bodily practice that results in a creative process, delimiting our territory of action from the practice itself. In this sense, we take as our object of investigation the scenic creation process entitled “Tellus”. From this process, we seek to investigate the body as a primary driver of creation, considering the contribution of the participants' personal mythologies in the construction of the scene, the creative powers that are established in the territory of the "place between", and the act of “put poetry in the body”. This research is based on an experimental participatory methodology that occurs at a creative threshold between Theater and Dance. Therefore, we intend to develop a conceptual analysis based on the selected bibliography, and a procedural analysis interrelating the concepts of "Place Between" and "Put poetry in the body" in order to establish a field of aesthetic-poetic and pedagogical reflection.
