BETWEEN CONSERVATISM AND THE ETHICAL-POLITICAL PROJECT: THE ACTIVITY OF SOCIAL WORKERS WITH FAMILIES IN SERIDÓ/RN
Families; Conservatism; Social Work; Social Assistance; CRAS
Master's Qualification Project in Social Work. It has, as a general objective, to analyze the political and social direction of the work of social workers inserted in the CRAS of Caicó and Bodó/RN, focusing on the development of social work with families. It is presented as a bibliographical, documental and field research, guided by the dialectical historical materialist method, based on the analysis of the following categories: conservatism, families and Social Work. Field research will be developed, through semi-structured interviews with social workers, on the development of social work with families, in particular, the strategies used by professionals for the development of this work and how they trigger the instrumentality of Social Work. It presents, as an assumption, that the social work with families, developed by social workers, in the services to be research targets, does not move in the direction of the ethical-political project of Social Work and does not go beyond the determinations of the technical manuals of the Policy of Social Assistance, which contributes to the resurgence of professional conservatism. In this perspective, the present study aims to contribute to the broadening of the debate, from a critical perspective, on social work with families, in order to favor the permanent construction and defense of the ethical-political project of Social Work.
