With how many travas do you make a "ploc"? patriarchy and family abandonment as determinants for the insertion of transvestites in prostitution in Aracati (CE)
Patriarchy; Family; Transvestites; Prostitution
This master's qualification project in Social Work seeks to investigate patriarchal relations within the family as one of the determinants that act in the forced insertion of young transvestites in the activity of prostitution at a gas station in the municipality of Aracati (CE), an activity defined as " ploc" by the so-called "travas". With the bibliographical research in progress, we must say that this is done from the categories patriarchy, family, transvestites and prostitution. We will seek to carry out semi-structured interviews with the transvestites regarding their reality, in particular regarding the understanding of their family ties.
