YOUTH OF THE LANDLESS RURAL WORKERS MOVEMENT IN RIO GRANDE DO NORTE: A CLASS IDENTITY.

This qualification project is entitled: “Youth of the Landless Rural Workers Movement in Rio Grande do Norte: A Class Identity”. The text approaches the Agrarian question in Brazil and the Youth of the MST. For this, the agrarian question in Brazil will be addressed; the history of the struggle for land and the MST; and landless youth as a subject inserted in this context of struggle and resistance. In this study, it is important to study the concept of youth, elements of the trajectory of the MST Youth collective in Rio Grande do Norte and what impelled the creation and permanence in the settlement and the insertion in the MST struggle. The general objective of the research is to apprehend the importance and meaning of the political organization of landless youth participating in the MST, analyzing the extent to which social class identity contributes to joining the movement and carrying out resistance actions and confronting the advance of capital in the field. The research is of a qualitative nature, with documentary and bibliographic study instruments. About the scientific and methodological method, Marx's critical conception will be used, the historical-dialectical materialism, which seeks to understand the dynamic movement and the transformations of history and societies in the dialectic of reality. The method in Marx will contribute to analyze the theoretical categories of the research.
