College education; Right. Merchandise
This dissertation is a scientific research with a qualitative approach.
Using the dialectical critical historical materialism of Karl Marx as fundamental
to its development. The object of study of this work is Higher education and
merchandise: a study on the educational policies of the Bolsonaro government.
The general objective of this study, therefore, was to analyze the trajectory of Higher Education
in Brazil, considering the determinants that insert it into the market circuit,
considering the year 2016 as the regulatory framework for the expansion of
the privatization of higher education until the moment of the neoliberal
government of Bolsonaro. . the methodology used comprised a
bibliographic study and document analysis. To prepare this study,
we seek to answer the following guiding questions: What are the
theoretical and political assumptions to legislate Higher Education,
and the implications of the State reform for Education?;
What is the functionality of Higher Education for Capital,
considering the relationship between merchandise and education?;
What are the trends in Higher Education in the context of expanded
capital reproduction and the mechanisms that lead it to the
commodity circuit? there is no doubt that there is a connection between
education and the economic movement regarding higher education in Brazil.
This connection can also be understood as an ontological relationship. It becomes clear,
therefore, that the way in which higher education was configured, in its beginnings,
in its deepest roots, is not different from what we present in our hypothesis that
“higher education was and is the privilege of a at the expense of another.
