bourgeois autocratic period. In this way, we intend, with the specific objectives, to analyze the
changes in the higher education policy implemented in the aforementioned period; learn how Higher
Education enters the commodity circuit, and then discuss it as a social right and exchange value -
also endowed with use value in capitalist societies, inserted in the scope of social relations
developed daily and finally, identify the struggles in defense of Higher Education in Brazil, with a focus on
ANDES, when considering the importance and the work developed by this union
during the national struggles for higher education in the country.
That said, we understand that this work seeks to contribute
to the analysis of social reality in a critical and interventional
way, seeking to apprehend the functionality of higher education
in the capitalist mode of production - which is in force in our society, to build social
strategies together with universal and emancipation in order to overcome this exclusionary economic system.
