“ARTIST PROFESSIONAL”: THE PROCESS OF PRECARIZATION OF ACTORS AND ACTRESSES´ WORK IN CONTEMPORARY BRAZIL
Work; Culture; Social Policy; Actors and actresses; Conservatism.
This present project is considered as being a qualitative research that through documental and bibliographical analysis along with semi-structured interviews aims to build a thesis that investigates, in scientific terms and therefore from Critical Social Theory, elements in contemporary capitalism. Thus, it communicates with the genesis and transformation of the world, mainly from the 1970s and, especially in the middle of the 1990s in Brazil, considering the consequences from capitalist crisis and the perverse context of loss of right in this decade, which determine mechanisms of (re)production of precarious labor force: the class of actors and actresses. Conversely, while there is denial about any economic analysis, it is possible to relate art as one of the social groups formed by the differentiated work from the artists, which in turn suffer with various forms of determination, especially nowadays, where there is a perspective expansion of post-modernity and conservatism. Thus, it is relevant the development of this study in the face of pauperism expansion, unemployment and in-depth forms of precariousness and work deregulation in the world and, in Brazil, especially in 2016´s legal-parliamentary and media post-coup where there was implementation of ostensive counter-reforms projects which attack mainly labor and social welfare sectors. Such actions are strategic measure towards a continued accumulation of neoliberal capital; but also towards an advance of conservatism. This scenario has as the mainly example the rise of irrationalism and subjectivism in the social and political spheres. It is therefore intended to elucidate the processes regarding the conditions doubly determined of these artists, considering on the one hand the labor precarization to which they are submitted, and on the other hand, the particularity of their work area, which is related to the ideological aspect of the activities performed. Thereby, it is also aimed to analyze the state sphere since it is a very relevant element in this process by recovering elements of the specific and differentiated socio-historical formation of the country, considering the relation between precarization of actors and actresses´ work and the State action of offering public policies to culture in relation to the current context of withdrawal of its roles, aggravation of social question and deepening of capitalist barbarism, as well as, in a counter-hegemonic sense, the apprehension about forms of resistance and political organization of the artistic class in Brazil
