The professional qualification of the social workers of the RN and their socioeconomical and ethical-political determinants: an analysis based on the Permanent Education Policy of the CFESS/CRESS
Work. Permanent Education. Social Work. Professional formation and exercise
This work discusses the Professional qualification mechanisms accessed by social workers, and its implications over the CFESS/CRESS Permanent Educational Policy, having as main general aim to analysis the socioeconomical and ethical-political determinants that are in the search for professional qualification of the social workers of the Rio Grande do Norte (RN). By this purpose, was realized a documentary research in the Social Work Regional Council (CRESS/RN – 14th Region) between 2013 and 2015, on the basis of audit reports, through what we delimited the sample for the field research, with nine social workers through the performance of a interview guide by a semi-structured script, associated with the construction an analysis of our object. During the work, we considered the changes that have been occurring in the social, political and economical plans, engendered by the capital and the labor market, being orchestrated by neoliberalism since 1990 whose repercussions affect the working class and the social workers, objectively and subjectively. These transformations fall on the professional formation that turns to the service of interests of this market, forging a certain professional profile that is in contrary of the one proposed by the ethical-political project. Consequently, the defense and the direction given by the Permanent Education Policy of the CFESS/CRESS to the permanent educational process of the social workers find a great limitation, especially in the real possibilities of the Permanent Education contributes to the process of political organization of the category. So we seek here to reflect on the reality found in the daily routine of social workers of the RN about their formative processes beyond the graduation, as well as on the impacts of their search for qualification in their professional exercises based on analyzes guided by the Marxist tradition. We observed that the supervised internship has enable the social workers to have access to (re)read, debates and (re)construction of knowledge that, although it present itself with many limitations, is possible to be oxygenated in the direction of Permanent Education perspective that we defend as category. We have also seen that the difficulties in the process of Permanent Education of the social workers of the RN express a set of macrossocietary determinations objectively and subjectively in the search of these professional intellectual enhancement. We emphasize that only with a perspective of permanent education beyond the capital, we can build a process of permanent education that exceeds the determinations imposed by the labor market, with many limitations imposed by the sociability of capital and by the working conditions and relations of social workers, which imposes on us the need to resist and fight through strategies built collectively, of which Permanent Education Policy of CFESS/CRESS is part of.
