SUMMARY:

The promotion of breastfeeding requires innovative strategies capable of raising awareness and guiding lactating women regarding the importance of this practice for maternal and child health. In this context, content curation is characterized as a process that selects, organizes, and disseminates high-quality information tailored to users’ profiles and informational needs. Accordingly, the general objective of this research is to develop an informational product based on content curation about breastfeeding, in order to meet the informational needs of women assisted at the Jockey Club Primary Health Unit (UBS Jockey Club) in Parnamirim/RN. This is an applied, exploratory study with a quali-quantitative approach, adopting a case study as its procedural method. Bibliographic and empirical research was conducted in the following databases: Brapci, the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD), Web of Science, and Scopus, along with 20 interviews with women whose children attend growth and development consultations. Data analysis involved content analysis and basic descriptive statistics. The findings indicate that participants present a socioeconomically vulnerable profile, have internet access, frequently use social media, and prefer digital content such as videos and WhatsApp groups. Although all participants received breastfeeding guidance during prenatal care and reported feeling motivated to breastfeed, significant informational gaps persist— particularly regarding correct latch, infant positioning, benefits of breast milk, and appropriate breastfeeding duration. As a practical contribution, this study developed an informational product: a digital booklet grounded in scientific evidence, clearly organized, accessible, and tailored to the participants’ needs. The material aims to provide reliable and contextualized information, support informed decision-making, strengthen the maintenance of exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months of life and continued breastfeeding thereafter, and ultimately promote more informed, humanized, and effective maternal-child care.
