THE CENTRALITY OF NOVA CRUZ - RN ACCORDING TO THE EDUCATION SERVICE OFFER

In this research we studied the centrality of Nova Cruz - RN according to the provision of education services. The city of Nova Cruz has already been analyzed through important research, such as the work developed by Coutinho (2010), which understood its dynamics and relationships with the cities of Montanhas - RN and Lagoa d’Anta - RN; and the work of Lima (2010), about the socio-spatial implications of the transfer of the street market to the (re)production of the urban space of Nova Cruz. However, we did not identify any work that investigated the centrality of Nova Cruz according to the education service. Furthermore, Nova Cruz is a city considered by IBGE as a local center, but which exercises regional centrality in terms of education services. Therefore, the objective of the research is to analyze the centrality of Nova Cruz according to the provision of education services. To this end, bibliographical, documentary, statistical and field research will be carried out, with observation of the city studied, the application of a questionnaire and interviews. As results, it is expected to understand the centrality of Nova Cruz in the context of the urban network of Rio Grande do Norte, the analysis of the contribution of the education service to the urban-regional dynamics of Nova Cruz and the analysis of the spatial interactions of Nova Cruz with regard to the flows carried out. by the education service.
