Coastal Zones, RPA, Morphodynamics, Coastal erosion, Northeast Brazil.
This study aims to analyze the coastal dynamics of the Punaú River low course through the application of Geotechnologies. It is cristal clear that coastal zones are complex and dynamics areas. It happens due to its aesthetic values and the ecosystem servisse that it offers. The application of geotechnologies like Remotely Piloted Aircrafts (RPA) and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) has the capacity to provide data and information about the terrain and its evolution. The tools of geotecnologies have been increasely used in a simple and cheaper ways. Located in the municipality of Rio do Fogo, distant 86 kilometers from Natal, capital of Rio Grande do Norte, the study area ambraces the surroundings of the Punau River’s mouth, a place of a great cenic beauty between Zumbi and Pititinga Districts. This sector is under a very intense coastal dynamics represented by several processes that lacks further studies.
