PROPOSAL FOR IMPROVEMENT IN THE COMMUNICATION OF INFORMATION FLOWS OF PEDAGOGICAL PROJECTS OF UNDERGRADUATE COURSES AT THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF RIO GRANDO DO NORTE
pedagogical course project; information flows; IDEF0; higher education institution (HEI).
Several social, economic, political and technological transformations have profoundly impacted higher education, changing the way students learn, institutions operate and knowledge is generated and disseminated. The rapid pace of change continues to challenge universities to adapt and innovate to meet the demands of the 21st century. In view of this, UFRN has been promoting the updating of the Pedagogical Course Projects (PPC), which is a strategic document to guide the training of students and which must be in line with federal and institutional regulations that regulate Higher Education. This process is complex, made up of different flows of information, in which different actors, instances and documents participate. This complexity and the scarcity of guiding documents can be reasons for delays in the progress of processes that have been noticed in the last three years. In view of this, the general objective of the dissertation is to propose a communication product that promotes knowledge about the process of preparing projects for UFRN undergraduate courses and their information flows. The specific objectives are: a) Analyze institutional guidelines for the preparation and updating of PPCs; b) Map the information flows of the PPC preparation/update process; c) Identify the elements of governance information in the process of preparing/updating the PPC; d) Define structure and contents of the booklet. This research is qualitative in nature, with descriptive and applied objectives. The research methods used will be bibliographical research, documentary research and data collection, through interviews with the Director of Pedagogical Development. The IDEF0 and DSM tools were applied to map information flows. The results made it possible to clarify how information flows occur during PPC updating and to propose a booklet that explains these processes so that they can be completed successfully.
