INFORMATIONAL SUPPORT ON OCCUPATIONAL ACCIDENTS IN AN ORGANIZATIONAL ENVIRONMENT WITH DISTINCT LEGAL REGIMES: PROPOSAL FOR A SELF-SERVICE SYSTEM
Information management. Informational flow. Information service. Informational support. Occupational accident. Occupational Health and Safety.
The present research concerns the application of information management principles to develop and propose a self-service aimed at promoting the health and safety of public agents, providing the same level of attention and quality of service in a scenario where employees of UFRN (Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte) coexist, subject to Law No. 8,112, of December 11, 1990 (legal regime of federal civil servants, federal autonomous agencies, and public foundations), and employees of EBSERH (Brazilian Company of Hospital Services), bound by the legal regime provided for in Decree-Law No. 5,452, of May 1, 1943 (Consolidation of Labor Laws - CLT), within the premises of the Onofre Lopes University Hospital (Natal/RN). Given the legal disputes involved in the case under study, it is emphasized that the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases, involving the preservation of individuals' physical and mental health, especially when sharing the same environments, should not be differentiated among individuals. Therefore, the primary objective is to investigate the paths to propose an informational support service to assist UFRN employees in their search for information on occupational accidents, aiming at promoting and preserving the health of this audience. The methodological trajectory involved an inductive approach, through a case study based on documentary techniques, questionnaires, and interviews. The combined results indicated that the aspects highlighted in the findings from the analysis of questionnaires and interviews are in total harmony with the essence of the objectives achieved in this research. It was concluded that there is a need for implementing the proposed informational strategies and services.
