Evaluation of the mandatory supervised practicum in Library: a case study in the Zila Mamede Central Library of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte

Among the various objectives that the university library has is to assist in the activities carried out within the University environment. at the Zila Mamede Central Library (BCZM), at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. the mandatory supervised practicum for students is one of the most important activities. During this internship, students form a bridge between the theoretical aspects studied in the classroom and professional practice, serving as a basis for their future professional activities. Within this scope, it is important to verify whether the current organization of mandatory supervised practicum at BCZM, which includes a list of professional skills, corresponds to the national curriculum guidelines inserted in CNE/CES nº492/2001. From there, the objective of this research is to propose actions and strategies that contribute to the improvement of supervision and organization of the internship in the library. Methodological procedures of an applied, exploratory nature will be used, with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Federal do Rio Grande do Norte. If necessary, an interview will only be applied with the internship supervisors. Data analysis will be performed using simple descriptive statistics and content analysis.
