Propositions or Information Management In The Clinic-School of Speech Therapy of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte

In the scenario of contemporary organizations, information has been increasingly consolidated as a strategic resource as it acquires more value and directly influences organizational decision-making processes. In public institutions, although profit and competitiveness are not priority points to be achieved, the scenario is similar, in the search for process improvement, reduction of rework, increase in the quality of services provided. To this end, organizations have been concerned with seeking ways to better manage the information that materializes in the form of documents, whether it comes from the external environment or produced internally, but which needs to be analyzed, processed, stored and retrieved as the organizational processes take place. In this context, information management and document management more specifically, gain emphasis as strategies allied to the search for better control of the document mass produced in this context. Considering the need to improve processes related to document flow management at the Clinic-School of Speech Therapy at UFRN, aiming at greater agility and precision in the storage, processing and retrieval and dissemination of information, an increase in the quality of services in this environment in terms of security and privacy of the documents generated, solving problems such as the loss of essential documents for the unit, this research has the general objective: to diagnose how the use and flow of information occurs in the Clinic-School with a view to proposing document management strategies for the unit. Seeking to reach the general objective, it specifically aims to: Identify and categorize the document typologies present in the Clinic-School of Speech Therapy; Identify the profile of the beneficiaries of the services provided by the Clínica-Escola; Check the level of satisfaction of patients in the provision of services; Mapping the document flow processes in use at the Clinic-School; Identify the bottlenecks present in the document flow; Propose changes in the flow of information through document management tools. As for the methodology, the research will have a quali-quantitative approach, and will be classified according to means and ends. As for the purposes, it will be Exploratory, Descriptive and Applied. As for the means, the research will be of the participant research type, considering the participation of the researcher and the subjects inserted in the analyzed context. the method of procedure adopted in this research will be the monographic one and the data collection methods used will be the application of questionnaires, as well as the use of interviews, in addition to documentary and bibliographical research.
