Professional Master's Degree. Information management. Knowledge management. Graduate Programs.
The professional master's degree is a modality at postgraduate level that offers professionals the necessary qualification to improve their skills, not only academic but also practical. Thus, teaching modalities in this level seek to overcome a gap observed in their field of activity and in order to develop a technical product that contributes to the improvement bringing innovation to the field. The theme of this research is centered on the technical interventions proposed by graduates of the Professional Master's Program in Information and Knowledge Management at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte in Brazil. It considers works completed from 2017 and 2018. The study aimed to carry out a diagnosis and mapping these productions in order to identify the characteristics, contexts of application, thematic areas, possible barriers in their implementations in relation to the referred products/intervention proposals, among other aspects. The methodology was qualitative and quantitative, being exploratory- descriptive in accordance with the objectives. As for the technical procedures, it was based on a case study using direct and indirect documentation. Thus, the technique of extensive direct observation was applies. An online survey via questionnaire was used as an instrument for collecting data with graduates of the Program in the time frame. The results were interpreted based on the content analysis technique. Thus, it is concluded that the analysis of this mapping will serve as a subsidy for the decision- making of the referred Program and Institution involved and of potential interest for programs with similar profiles and objectives.
