RELIGIOUS FLOWS IN THE HOUSE OF THE MADRINHA DODÔ. LADEIRA DO HORTO, JUAZEIRO DO NORTE - CEARÁ
Godmother Dodô's house; Popular Religiosity; Ritual Practices
This dissertation aims to analyze the house of godmother Dodô, located in the city of Juazeiro do Norte / CE, as a hybrid religious space of multiple symbols, beliefs and ritual practices, in order to understand how therapeutic healing itineraries operate in the Pilgrimage of Finados. To materialize this undertaking, we will use a set of interviews as analytical tools, these narratives were carried out with the beatas and the Pankararu Indians, as well as a part of the people who seek Godmother Dodô's house in search of a cure. The speeches of the interlocutors (as) and the ethnographies in the research field, directs us to begin with the historical narrative about the foundation of the godmother's house in Juazeiro. And for the displacements of different religious agents with sacred religious practices in the ritualistic macro universe. The house of godmother Dodô has conceived/conceived a universe of popular religiosity since the 19th century.
