THE SENSES OF MAGIC: RITUAL PRACTICES, PRIEST AND CUSTOMERS IN THE MACAPÁ TERRITORIES.
Afro-Brazilian religions, magic, ethnography.
The present dissertation is structured around three dimensions: the history of Afro-Brazilian religions in Amapá, the perception of "magic" from the rituals offered as religious services, and the relationship between clients and priests. The ethnographic research was carried out in terreiros of the capital of the state of Amapá, Macapá. However, the ethnographic character permeates data that goes beyond the cut of the terreiros. Also presenting the life history of the priests from their memories and oralities. This study aims to investigate the senses triggered and produced by Afro-religious priests perceiving how the ritual practices perceived as "magic" are characterized by observing the works offered as services linked to the search for solutions to problems such as: relationship, finances, Cheers; also unfolds in analyzing the relation between clients and the religion, as well as, the migration of clients to children of santo. The research will make it possible to understand how priests and clients intersect the understanding of the ritual practices of Afro-Brazilian religions linked to the magic category, attributing the effectiveness and efficiency of the rites directed to the different ends of life of those who use it through religion.
