ABSTRACT
Submitting research projects to Research Ethics Committees (CEP) is the standard and mandatory process in Brazil for researchers responsible for research projects involving human beings. The National Research Ethics Committee (CONEP) regulates research in Brazil through pertinent regulations, legislation and guidelines for good standardization in research processes, namely: resolutions 466/2012 and 510/2016 for research with human beings and other complementary regulations and, more recently, Law 14.874, which provides for research with human beings and establishes the National System of Ethics in Research with Human Beings. However, it is not uncommon for researchers, especially beginners, to face doubts when organizing the research project for such submission, which currently occurs, nationwide, on the Plataforma Brasil, and, when the project is carried out in any University Hospitals of the Ebserh Network, also on the Plataforma Rede Pesquisa. Considering that standardizing guidelines for researchers can minimize the return of projects with pending documents and ethical obstacles, this study developed and validated a multimedia guide of good practices for submitting research projects, considering as the study universe the researchers of a University Hospital of the Ebserh Network. To achieve this product, a mixed documentary, descriptive-analytical and methodological research method was adopted. Two studies were carried out prior to the validation of the multimedia manual, namely: a documentary study, which aimed to characterize the guidance materials for researchers on the submission of projects for ethical assessment in Brazil, and a descriptive-analytical study, which investigated the satisfaction of researchers who went through the process of advisory on ethical procedures developed by the main researcher of the study. The results obtained were: In article 1, the first product of this dissertation, 1,867 information resources were returned, of which 45 were analyzed, 8 of which were written materials and 37 were instructional videos. In article 2, researchers were satisfied with the assistance provided, so this model was identified as viable for adoption in the hospital studied. As a final product, a script for the educational multimedia material was developed and validated, consisting of 4 videos and a checklist to support researchers in submitting research projects to the CEPs, which can be made available on the teaching and research management page, assisting researchers in submitting projects to the CEP and GEP in order to improve researchers' knowledge and cooperate to speed up research processes in the aforementioned hospital, with the possibility of scaling the product to other Ebserh branches.
