Blind Adaptive Equalizer Based on Genetic Algorithms
Blind equalization, Adaptive equalizers, Genetic Algorithms, Linear programing.
This paper presents a proposal for a blind equalization based on genetic algorithms applied to digital communication systems. Differently the solutions presented in the literature, the proposed scheme uses a linear programming based modeling and this approach allows a simplification of the cost function by improving the performance of the genetic algorithm. Simulation results for various digital communication systems are showed through the bit error rate performance curves. In particular, it is observed a good convergence characteristic and a good accuracy of the method.
