About Second Level Adaptation as Technique of Estimation of Parameters in Partially Known Linear Plants and their
Application to Adaptive Control
Second Level Adaptation, Adaptive Control, Parameter Estimation, Identification
Second level Adaptation is a scheme for parameter estimation that was recently introduced and has displayed results for rapid convergence of the parameters and simplicity of the proposed adaptive laws, which are considered promising. It’s sufficient that all the set of plant parameters belongs to a convex hull. This thesis seeks to describe the mathematical proofs and algorithms involved in using second level adaptation for the purpose of estimating the parameters of a linear plant. A study with a model reference adaptive controller and an indirect dual mode adaptive robust controller is made.
