PROPOSING OF PROCEDURE FOR FUZZY MULTIVARIATE CONTROLLERS PROJECT
Multi-Variable Fuzzy Controller, MIMO Systems, Performance Indices
Practical problems of control are presented with many variables to be controlled simultaneously and that depend on each other, with this, the need arises for an in-depth study on multivariable control. Analyzing the capacity and potential of different control strategies, seeking the most appropriate for each type of system is fundamental. In this context, this work approaches a systematic technique of how to design an effective fuzzy controller for a system with two or more inputs and two or more outputs. The technique consists of dividing the project into stages, in which the parameters of a fuzzy controller are tuned: these steps start by considering a system with an input and an output, joining all the inputs and outputs in a single controller for later , Include the influence that each input and output exert on all outputs. In this way, it is possible to have a better understanding and performance of the controller, because it is possible to analyze the behavior of the system at each stage of the project. To prove its efficiency, the method discussed here is applied to a practical case study, a system of coupled tanks, in which a comparison is made between this and other types of controllers. After that, this multivariable Fuzzy controller is compared with other controllers through graphical analysis and the calculation of performance indices for validation of the technique used.
