RESUMO:

Mammalian cerebral cortex development is a complex and highly orchestrated event. During embryonic stage, progenitors from several regions differentiate and migrate which generates neuronal diversity in cerebral cortex. Several models in vitro aim emulate neuronal diversity found in that area, however much of those cells characteristics, as transcriptional content, remain not fully understood. Recently, some in vivo and in vitro models datasets were released, nevertheless just few analysis comparing those models were made. Using machine-learning based approaches and released datasets, those in vitro models were revalidated and new information about how those models mimics in vivo development were generated. Besides that newly discovered candidates were suggested to enhance similarity with bona fide central nervous system neurons.
