SUMMARY:

The study aims to analyze an implementation model of the Lean approach in Home Care pharmacy. This is a study with a qualitative approach of the action-research type. The study describes meetings and communication with research participants, application of 5S, development of the dashboard, participation in the inventory, ending with the application of a survey with managers. As a result, the study reveals that the commitment to maintain employee compliance, consider financial aspects and ensure safety standards are key elements for the successful evolution of the implemented model. The study concludes that the implementation of the Lean approach in pharmacy results in an improved understanding of costs by managers, organizes work processes and contributes to a reduction in costs in the delivery of products to patients in the Home Care Service.
