IncluBank: a tool for the digital-financial inclusion of microentrepreneurs
Digital Banks; Banking Systems; Microentrepreneurs; Banking; Digital-Financial Inclusion.
The Brazilian banking market underwent changes during the pandemic. The biological disaster that struck the world in 2020 created in people the need to start their own businesses to avoid being left without money. The number of bank accounts increased due to the rise of online businesses. The reduction of bureaucracy in the rules of the central bank for opening financial companies made this market increasingly competitive. At the same time, the number of workers who opened their own businesses as Individual Microentrepreneurs (MEI) also surged. This research aims to create an efficient and affordable product to add value to the banking system, which, in turn, would increase the rate of what the literature refers to as Financial Inclusion and enable better financial organization for individual entrepreneurs who often lack any knowledge in finance. The product, today, is in prototyping and validation steps.
