SUMMARY:

The general objective of the study is to improve a model of implementation of the Lean approach in Home Care pharmacy. The specific objectives are: to describe the implementation model of the Lean approach in Home Care pharmacy; compare the moments before and after the implementation of the Lean approach in pharmacy; evaluate the Lean process in Home Care pharmacy from the point of view of managers. For data analysis, information collected through process modeling tools, maps of the physical structure, and dashboards built during the research will be used. The study population consists of managers of a Home Care service in Natal. As a result, it is expected that the implementation model of the Lean approach will bring contributions to the organization of the work process, reduction of the real cost of dispensing materials and medicines for patients in the home care service, training teams on systems used by the company and use of good practices aimed at inventory management in the pharmacy of the home care service.
