VOY UNIQ: PLATFORM FOR PLANNING TOURIST EXPERIENCES
Consumer Behavior; Maximization of Satisfaction; Tourism 4.0
In order to optimize the satisfaction with their experiences, the tourist, faced with the options of unlimited tourist itineraries but with finite time and budget, needs to know the perspectives of the destinations to make a decision. A 2019 survey of 164 people (Facebook travel groups) found that 38% were dissatisfied with their trips, while 40% could have visited other destinations. The perception of low return on investment, mass tourism and its effects, such as overtourism, are among the causes of travel frustration. ANAC points out that around 7 million Brazilians traveled to just 7 destinations in Europe in 2019. The use of personalized services through 4.0 technologies to mitigate failed experiences is among the trends for tourism in this century. Thus, the objective is to create a technological platform to plan personalized trips visually based on the respective tourist profile, using web scraping to obtain data on European destinations, attractions, tourist activities and hotels. The value proposal is to provide the best tourist experiences and make tourists protagonists, allowing them to build their travel stories and experiences. The Lean Startup and Design Thinking approaches and the Running Lean methodology were used. Tools such as storytelling and gamification, graph technologies and data mining will be adopted. Problems faced by tourists were investigated, trends and technologies for tourism were explored, travel itineraries in Europe were manually prepared and validated with potential customers (Minimum Viable Product - MVP) from a preference form. The solution will provide personalized tourist experiences for Brazilians traveling to Europe for leisure. The platform will have as a differential the recommendation of tourist experiences through personalized and automated itineraries. Innovative features will include profile-based personalized travel, use of gamification and storytelling. Potential customers are Brazilian tourists who travel internationally for leisure and competitors are companies that manually prepare personalized travel itineraries. Tourist clients being able to plan their trips visually will improve the usability of the platform.
