SABIDO - Knowledge to boost enterprises by necessity
Entrepreneurship by necessity - Management - Framework - Competitiveness
According to the GEM Brazil 2019 survey (SEBRAE; IBPQ, 2019), for 88.4% of the initial entrepreneurs who decided to start a business for a living, the lack of employment is one of the main reasons to develop the entrepreneurial initiative with which they are involved. Such entrepreneurial initiative, called self-employment by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) (SEBRAE, 2019), can be seen as a survival strategy for those who cannot find another way to earn income. Despite presenting itself as an alternative, they point out the fragility of nations from an economic point of view to this reality. From the perspective of the entrepreneur by necessity, we can consider this scenario as a problem to be addressed, especially when analyzing the mortality of these companies. The cause of business mortality cannot be attributed to a single factor, but to the sum of factors such as: the situation of the entrepreneur before opening, business planning, inexperience, ceasing to be an employee and being the owner of his own business, lack of planning (sense of urgency), not knowing how to calculate costs to open the company, not knowing the purpose of the business, not knowing where to find suppliers, not looking for market information, pressing to get the first customers, does not know credit lines, among other factors. Therefore, the purpose of this work is to investigate and develop a framework that supports new traditional businesses of entrepreneurs by necessity and maximizes their competitiveness and permanence in the market. Through bibliographical references, benchamarking, application of questionnaires, analysis and a meeting with a focus group of 10 entrepreneurs who made themselves available for a meeting, the Sabido tool was developed, thus initiating the data and framework validation process. With low cost and characteristics for scale, the perceptions are favorable to the continuity of the project, where the greatest beneficiary will be the entrepreneur, who by necessity started a business activity and through SABIDO, will have more chances of remaining in the market and with the opportunity to be competitive.
