METHOD OF AUTOMATIZING THE CONCRETE REDOSAGE PROCESS IN A DOSING CENTER
Concrete; Slump; Automation; IoT; Concrete Mixer.
Concrete is a standardized material whose consistency is measured by the slump, which has a previously defined acceptability range, but not always respected in the process of tracing water by the truck mixer operator, causing material losses when returned by the construction staff, or structural problems, by reducing the strength due water excess. Thus, in this work the new technologies for slump characterization will be presented, in order to develop an automation mechanism with the use of sensors and internet of things (IoT), capable of ensuring the material properties. In this sense, we used the works of Amziane et al (2005), Palazzo et al (1989), and Nagarajan et al (2020), as well as NBR 7212 (2012), and others developed within this area. Preliminary studies point to the possibility of use sensors inside the concrete plant, installed in truck mixer, in order to obtain reliable slump results. As well as for the use of machine learning to identify the degree of fluidity, at the time of dosing.
