Bees are of great relevance for the maintenance of the global ecosystem.
They are the main pollinators in natural and agricultural environments. Animals
essential for food production.
Beekeeping, man bees rationally, is currently a highly important activity that presents
an alternative occupation and income for the man of the field and generates
millionaire business in the world market.
Among the main challenges for the current beekeeping activity is increased
productivity and traceability management of bee products.
The present work proposes the development of an information system called Apisoft.
Its objectives are: to help, through a mobile phone, the information notes in the day
to day management of the beekeeper, as well as in the traceability record and
conditions of extraction of the products using good practices in beekeeping and
facilitate the management of the apiary and communication with the other actors in
the beekeeping chain.
By presenting simple questions to the beekeeper, the application registers the
information that serves as a subsidy for the generation of graphs useful in decision
making in several aspects that impact on the increase of the apiary's productivity,
such as: area of pups, volume and proximity of flowering , entry of pollen and
presence of pests in the hive.
