Improvement of the process for viability analysis in a hardware startup.

This work presents a business management methodology and a viability analysis of a product/service in a Startup. This methodology was developed from the perception of steps and difficulties during the development of a hardware/software product focused on electrical power measuring and management. As a validation of the presented methodology, it was applied on the startup named "Potiguar Energy", but this methodology may also be applied to any other products on startups as well. The contents of the text describe: the innovation environment, the key concepts and difficulties presented on a startup environment also the challenges of building a hardware product for energy measure/management. The main purpose of this work is to create, validate and demonstrate an easy method, for technical designers, to understand and plan the whole business before it may turn in an inviable project due to mismanagement or elevated costs.
