RESUMO:

The text aims to describe the relationship of Innovation Management in a technology based startup with the profile of the Manager in Science, Technology and Innovation. This one, based on a case study of its own, where the manager is in CTI, directs and directs the startup North-Irrigordian nominated BluhPass, which develops a system of software and hardware for management in access control. The research done in this study is an explanatory one, which, according to Gil (2008), aims to identify the factors that determine or contribute to the occurrence of the phenomena. The results show that the startup in question, although at an initial stage of development of a viable minimum product, presents a good development of its products and services, having evolved substantially during the period of study and learning of the Master in Science, Technology and Innovation of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte.
