TEACHING MUSIC AND INTERDISCIPLINARITY: the interface of the arts in everyday school life, a possible dialogue
Music. Interdisciplinarity. Creativity. John Paynter.
Music is one of the oldest and most valuable forms of human expression and
is present in the life of our species. The present work promotes reflections on the
importance of art and its interfaces in everyday school life, aiming at a dialogue
between music teaching and interdisciplinarity through artistic productions during the
creation process. This proposal was inspired by the thinking of John Paynter, with
emphasis on creativity, the teaching experience in the classroom, situated in a complex
universe envisioned by Carl Rogers and Edgar Morin, and the constant reconstruction
and articulation of knowledge. In this context, we have promoted didactic activities that
seek to involve and make the process of artistic creation more dynamic and innovative.
