SUMMARY:

This text aims to report the experience of an artistic-literary performance to be implemented in the school environment of the Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental e Médio Pedro Pascoal de Oliveira, in Juazeirinho/PB. Thus, there will be results of the research project to be developed at the aforementioned educational institution to seek the expansion of knowledge, the appreciation of the cultural and racial diversity of black people, and, consequently, contribute to the realization of an anti-racist practice in the present society, with the relationships established by the participating students in their local reality. It is necessary to emphasize that such activity will become effectively possible under Law 10.639/03, a propeller of valuable actions regarding the history of black people and their contributions to the enrichment of Brazilian culture. It will also be part of a proposal of this project, to present Afro-Brazilian literature through black writers to provide a break from paradigms that marked the history of black literature for a long time, thus, making it possible to bring the work closer to the artist/literary, as well as with the connoisseur that, for many years, could not have access to the artistic field because it was represented by others according to its interests and possibilities. Treating art as an experience will allow us to encompass what should be valued so that negative stereotypes be dispelled and that all cultural manifestations are recognized as art. Therefore, the question that will guide the present research will be: How the promotion of literary performance through black poetry may affect an anti-racist practice in today's society with the students of Escola Estadual Pedro Pascoal de Oliveira in Juazeirinho / PB?. Furthermore, it will be a research with an qualitative methodology, based on the perceptions and feelings produced by the students after contact with the performance in Afro-Brazilian literature, with the student being the subject and object of the research. As a theoretical foundation, we will seek contributions from Amarino Queiróz, a researcher considered one of the first to study performance in Brazil from the reality of Salvador/BA, as well as Paul Zumthor, through his studies on literary performance. In addition, reflections will be proposed based on texts by Afro-Brazilian poets, namely Solano Trindade, Oliveira Silveira, Victoria Santa Cruz, and Midria Silva Pereira, as they address the anti-racist theme in their writings.
