SUMMARY:

The present work aims to analyze the viability and development of a permanent project in Art with drawing and painting at the João Tibúrcio State School, located in Goianinha / RN. Called “Art and Movement”, the project made possible the direct contact of students with the art produced in the school space through the appropriation of techniques and theoretical knowledge about subjects in the universe of Visual Arts. What happened through the development of a project that organized regular meetings to learn and practice drawing, visits to exhibitions, studies on works and artists, holding exhibitions and participating in public notices. Based on the competences and skills mentioned initially by the National Curriculum Parameters (PCN, 1997) and by the Common National Curricular Base (BNCC, 2018), our questions turn to the movement process experienced by students when they propose to participate in a project in Art , as well as for the possibilities of learning and entrepreneurship in the field of arts in the school environment. Our research locus is the João Tibúrcio State School, located in Goianinha / RN, and among our theoretical references, Larrosa stands out, among others, (2001). Barbosa (2003), Ostrower (2014), Pareyson (2001), Ferraz and Fusari (2002). The work is justified, initially, due to the demand of some students interested in visual arts who did not fit into other existing projects at the school. In the field of arts education, the project in question aims, specifically, through its teaching and performance proposal: to provide students with the opportunity to integrate into a project in which they can b9e protagonists; allow them to see the range of options that art can provide in their field of work or in future opportunities for professional experience; giving the school community the opportunity to appreciate and enjoy art; enable greater integration of parents with the school community. We therefore consider the relevance of our study, since, as a qualitative and descriptive methodology, it can contribute, not only to the perception of the participants' perspectives and points of view through art, but to the possibilities of discussions and experiences in the field of teaching art at school.
