SUMMARY:

This dissertation analyzes the use of technology and art within the classroom through the
cartoon created by cell phones and tablets, developed from techniques that are in the devices
that students use in their daily lives. The use of technological devices is often seen in a
negative way, however, depending on the direction, it can help in the discovery of new
knowledge with immediate connections with the school community and even outside it. Te
text also analyze the difficulties that have regarding new technologies linked to students and
teachers, the possible software to make art, in the case animation and the usability of these
programs and devices. The work was developed from experience in the computer lab of the
State School Ana Júlia de Carvalho Mousinho that was the main source of research. The
objective is to analyze the production of cartoons created by a group of 30 students from the
1st grade of High School, in an animation workshop developed by cell phones and tablets,
showing ways to extend the use of these tools to art classes. For the set of theorists used in the
research, prominence for Sérgio Silveira (2004) and José Moran (2000), regarding the use of
technology in the classroom in a free form and the possible connections regarding its use in
contemporary times; Paulo Freire (2002) and Edgard Morin (2005) thinking about the
acquisition of knowledge both in the classroom and in the search for the autonomy of our
students in educational terms; as well as Ana Mae Barbosa (2010) for the artistic content in
education; Jorge Bondia (2002) and Maria Cláudia Gomes (2017) in search of experience in
animation classes; among other authors who, in some way, elucidate the teaching of the arts
and technology.
