RESUMO:

The present work aims to bring forward the pedagogical potentials of the social
network Facebook, used as a methodological resource in the Arts discipline, through
the analysis of the performed activities with the students from the 6th to the 9th of the
Municipal School Gregorio Bezerra, at Olinda city, in Pernambuco. Starting from the
subjects of internet origins, the development of networked society, virtual
communities and social networks, we have built a path that leads us to its influences
in education. Social networks are present in the daily lives of the world's urban
population by connecting people with common interests in an interactive way, being
one of the reasons that led Facebook to become the most used social network of
today. Presenting, in its platform, resources and tools that allied to the educational
practice make teaching and interactive and collaborative learning possible, this social
network opened space for the creation of the closed group Tá na Aula, Tá no Face!
(It ́s in the classroom, it ́s in the Face, in brazilian portuguese language), space
where the activities of the present research are developed.
