N-Boat: Design and Development of an Autonomous Robotic Sailboat
Self-propelled surface vehicle, Aquatic robotics, robotic sailboat
In this proposal, we introduced the design and development of the autonomous sailboat, the N-Boat II, which is being built by the Associated Laboratories Natalnet (UFRN and IFRN). We show the part of mechanical and electrical design, from the initial construction to the part of leaving everything ready for the platform control phase, which is being carried out in another proposal. The idea in this proposal is to show the development of a prototype that is replicable and open source. This robotic surface vehicle will be applied within a water quality monitoring project, but can also be employed in other tasks involved in research on nature. Thus, this proposal is part of a larger project, which should provide the community with a complete infrastructure that can be used to protect the environmen
