SUMMARY:

The growing interest in the concept of perezhivanie by researchers of Vygotsky's developmental theory, the escalation of its use in empirical research along with the complexity and challenges involved, such as the difficulties of translation and the multiple meanings of the term in the context of Russian language and culture, including the various articulations of the concept to the theory of Vygotsky and the fact that the author did not have time to develop the concept in his theory, generated different approaches and interpretations of the concept and its use. In view of this scenario, the present work aims to compose a dialogic picture of the concept of perezhivanie based on the works of authors who focus on the theme and on the works and foundations of Vygotsky’s theory to address the main emerging discussions, articulations to the theory and foundations, divergences and convergences involved in view of advance in the understanding of this concept and its theoretical and practical implications. For this purpose, a systematic survey of the works that focused on the concept of perezhivanie until 2018 in Portuguese, Spanish, English and French was carried out with the help of the CAPES Journal Gate and the Google Scholar. Finally, 45 works were collected, read in full and analyzed in order to identify the main discussions brought, articulations to the theory and foundations, divergences and convergences, producing a dialogic picture that is under development, but from which lines and central themes of discussion have already been identified: The inheritance of appropriations/discussions of the concept of perezhivanie by Vygotsky's disciples: Leontiev and Bozhovich; The relationship between experience, word meaning/generalization and consciousness; The ideas of internalization and reflection, prism and refraction, and the relation with dialectics in Vygotsky's theory; The relationship between drama and experience and drama in Vygotsky's theory; Definitions of perezhivanie and relationships involved; General classification of works; And, finally, Veresov's contributions to the understanding of the concept of perezhivanie.
