SUMMARY:

There are moments considered critical during the woman's life cycle: adolescence, pregnancy and climacteric. Authors report that the emotional base of the adolescent mother is influenced by the social support received, which consequently ends up reflecting on the child's care and development. Regarding late pregnancy there is a worldwide increase in the occurrence of this phenomenon. Subjective wellbeing can have direct impacts on pregnancy and the formation of the affective bond in the dyad. Thus, the objective was to analyze the relationship between scores of the social support constructs and subjective well-being in pregnant adolescents, young adults and late. Sequential multimethod research conducted in three studies. 1) Integrative Review of the Social Support and Subjective Welfare constructs. 2) To investigate the relationship between social support scores and subjective well-being and these among sociodemographic, gestational and obstetric variables. 3) Understand the importance of social support and subjective well-being in the experience of the gestational period among the investigated public. The number was 367 subjects for Study II and 9 subjects in Study III. Adolescent, young and late adult puerperal women hospitalized for childbirth and / or postpartum after 12 hours postpartum were included. Excluding postpartum women who have had children with fetal malformation, fetal death, prematurity and the fact that they became pregnant using some method of artificial fertilization. Instruments were: Structured Questionnaire, Social Support Scale (EAS) and Subjective Wellness Scale (EBES). SPSS for descriptive and inferential statistics, with a significant level of 5% for alpha error, with the null hypothesis rejected when p <0.05. Partial results are obtained from a sample of 200 Study II participants. 69.5% women declared Catholicism as a religion, 78% said they were married or in a stable union, 37% completed high school and 54.5% declared themselves financially dependent only on their partner. 53% said pregnancy was unplanned, 60.5% wanted pregnancy, with 6% intentional abortion attempts. In the Emotional Support dimension, the highest score was the item “18 - which understands your problems” and the lowest score in the question “15 - to share more intimate concerns and fears” at 50% and 42.5% respectively. Regarding the Satisfaction / Dissatisfaction with Life dimension 43% agree to be satisfied with my life 41.5% agree to take advantage of life opportunities, 48% positively evaluate life and 28% disagree and agree to “ almost every aspect of my life is far from my ideal of life. ” It is estimated that with further data analysis, associations and correlations can be made to address the study objectives.
